There’s something about a spring wedding at Bay Pointe Woods in Shelbyville, MI that just feels like the exhale after a long winter. The sun showed up, the lake was calm, and everything about the morning felt easy. The wedding party got ready separately at the Bay Pointe boathouse, tucked along the water, soaking in those quiet hours before the celebration began. One of my favorite parts of the morning was watching the bride give thoughtful gifts — gift giving is her love language, and you could feel how intentional every little detail was.
They chose not to see each other before the ceremony, but instead shared the sweetest “first touch” around a corner — hands intertwined, steadying each other’s nerves without spoiling the aisle moment. They whispered, they laughed softly, and they ended with a small prayer before stepping into the next part of their day. And from there? Pure joy. Sunshine, happy tears, full dance floor energy — and the best outfit change to close out the night. A Bay Pointe Woods wedding in Shelbyville, MI is always beautiful, but it’s the quiet, in-between moments like these that make it unforgettable.
