So you want a maternity session, but don’t want all the pressure of having your photo taken can bring. You don’t want to be confined to an indoor studio and you want your photos to serve as a tribute to the bond you share as a couple and your journey into parenthood. My first recommendation in achieving this would be to have your session in a place that is nostalgic or special to you in some way.
For this session in particular, as a family who love and appreciate everything natural and outdoorsy – they chose a local luxury campground to have their photos taken. We spent the first part of the session wandering the woods and trying to avoid poison ivy (lol – it is Michigan, after all!) and for the second half we got more comfy cozy in the cute A-frame camp hut. As a photographer, my aim is not just to document this fleeting chapter, but to encapsulate the emotions and connections that define it. Through a blend of candid shots and gently guided poses, I strive to create images that resonate on a deeper level, evoking feelings of joy, excitement, and profound love.
