Keara and Patrick’s spring wedding day was the kind of celebration that reminds you exactly what weddings are really about — the people who’ve shaped your life, and the joy of being surrounded by them.
One of the most beautiful parts of the day was the ceremony — deeply personal, deeply nostalgic. Keara and Patrick were married by Father Jim, the very same priest who married Keara’s parents years ago. There was something incredibly moving about that full-circle moment, especially with so much family present. And unknown to Patrick, Keara had arranged for a musician to compose a custom son’s for her walk down the aisle. Watching his reaction — the emotion, the tears threatening to spill — was such a powerful reflection of what this moment meant to them both.
From the very beginning, Keara and Patrick made it clear: their wedding day was about presence, not perfection. Almost every single guest had traveled from out of state to be there and it was clear how much love filled the air. The entire day unfolded so calmly and naturally. Because we spent minimal time posing and maximizing time being present, the result is a gallery filled with real moments — laughter between siblings, teary hugs with parents, and spontaneous joy on the dance floor.
Keara and Patrick’s day is a perfect example of how beautiful a wedding can be when you let go of the “shoulds” and just live it. As a photographer, I’m endlessly inspired by couples like them — who trust the process, stay fully present, and allow their day to unfold naturally.
